Sr. Marketing Research Analyst – Lennox

The Sr. Marketing Research Analyst, working with the Residential Sales Team at Lennox Industries, is responsible for developing, owning and maintaining customer, competitive, and market data and information for distribution across multiple internal functions. He/she is also responsible for analyzing the competitive environment and trends in order to develop and present recommendations for improvement in revenue growth, profit, and market share. This research includes, but is not limited to: customer segmentation, brand awareness, product concepts, pricing, market position, customer satisfaction and customer attrition.

Specifically, this position is responsible to:

• Assist with the product portfolio analysis required to align it with the needs of our highest value customers
• Review customer sales trends in revenue dollars, gross profit dollars, unit sales, and other metrics to identify potential opportunities and risks
• Generate and provide regular marketing reports to track customer retention and satisfaction. Analyze root causes of issues and provide recommendations to improve.
• Develop and maintain a formal review process with the product and brand management team in order to develop necessary action plans resulting from this review. Actively participate in Marketing Review process and other assignments as required.
• Develop and publish reports and metrics to salesforce.com. Assist with maintenance of salesforce.com site.

REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree is required with 3-5 years experience in Marketing or Business related field. This position will be responsible for supporting field sales and marketing functions, analyze data, and recommend actions to exceed sales and market share objectives. Reports to the Sr. Manager, Customer Analytics.
Self-starter with strong analytical skills and the ability to gather relevant information and formulate decisions based on sound data. Understands business practices and the value of customer differentiation. Good business acumen. Other requirements are as follows:

• Computer proficiency in MS Office, especially Access, Excel. Prior experience building a data warehouse, use of SQL preferred. Work experience utilizing an SAP database is preferred
• Administrative use of salesforce.com
• Team player with the ability to work well under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work well with external field sales personnel and provide guidance and direction.
• Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills are essential.
• Strategic thinker who is also goal-oriented.
